About
Dramaturgical Slam stages Erving Goffman’s The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life (1959) as a one-night-only professional wrestling card. The Idealized Self defends the title against the Self Off Duty; Impression Management and the Performance Team are the reigning tag champions; Civil Inattention has been politely ignored since 1963. The whole arena is contractually looking away.
Click the stage toggle to flip between front stage (theatrical oxblood and footlight gold) and back stage (cold concrete and worklight). There is, of course, no back stage. The aesthetic is a fight poster. The sociology is real.
